How can I make space on my recalbox to update batocera? First it complained about /share and I removed roms, now it complains about /boot and I don't know what to delete there.
I have the same problem.... Did you solve this?
hum, can you list me files in that directory ?
i've made it bigger by default on recent version for the future, but the future is not supposed to be now.
only 1 file should be big.
I have the same problem - I am trying to upgrade from v5.17 to v5.18.
How do I view the / boot files (I know nothing about linux).
you can upgrade manually from a windows computer if you've not enough space :
1) plug your key/sd card
2) remove the file boot/batocera (to save space)
3) download boot.tar.xz (same place of the image when downloading from the website)
4) unzip boot.tar.xz on top of your key/sd card to replace files
5) rename boot/batocera.update to boot/batocera
Sorry, I made a mistake, i'm using batocera for PC not for raspberry. It's the same procedure?
yes it is.
OK, the procedure worked perfectly.
For future updates my / boot has 1.2GB (~510 MB free), will I have problems? (Sorry for bad English)
yes. the image is now more than 600mb. 1.2gb is not enough for a safe automatic update
Same problem auto updating from v5.18 to v5.19.
Here is the method I used. Same method as posted above but for those who are running on a non removable internal hard drive and or pc without internet or network connection. Based on the x86 64bit build.
